Gift voucher FAQs

Can guests redeem easily in-venue?

Yes. Staff search by voucher code or recipient name and mark it redeemed in one tap. If something goes wrong, redemptions can be reversed just as easily.

How do expiry dates work?

You can set a fixed expiry date (e.g., "valid until 31 December 2026") or a rolling window (e.g., "valid for 12 months from purchase"). If you set both, the earlier date applies.

Can guests partially redeem a voucher?

Vouchers are currently redeemed in full. If the bill is less than the voucher value, the remaining balance is at your discretion — you can offer a new voucher for the difference or treat it as a tip.

What if a guest wants a refund?

Refund policies are up to you. If you choose to refund, you can do so through Stripe and mark the voucher as void in TableSense.

Can we customise the voucher branding?

Yes. You can upload your venue logo, which appears on the voucher email recipients receive. The email design uses your logo prominently while keeping a clean, professional layout.

Do we get notified when vouchers sell?

Yes. You receive an email notification each time a voucher is purchased, including the purchaser name, recipient name, and value.

Is this useful outside of Christmas?

Definitely. Vouchers support birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you gifts, corporate gifting, and "treat yourself" purchases year-round. Many venues see steady voucher sales throughout the year once the option is visible on their booking page.

How does this help with guest acquisition?

Every voucher recipient is a potential new guest. They arrive with a personal recommendation from the purchaser and a financial commitment to visit. You also capture their email and name when they redeem, building your CRM with warm leads.
